Kanader is a browser flying game in which you pilot a Canadair-style flying boat, scoop water from the sea and drop it on wildfires before they spread. Its Daily mode gives everyone the same island, seeded from the date, and only your first attempt counts. It is free and plays on desktop and on phones.
About Kanader
Kanader is a short flying game by horseandradish, published on itch.io and still in development. You take off from an airbase in a voxel water bomber, skim the sea to scoop 6,000 litres of water, drop it on the flames and land back at base to refuel. Fires start on their own and spread with the wind, so a fire caught early takes one drop and one left alone becomes a front.
A run is a fire season: a fixed number of days, each rated from GREEN to RED like a fire-weather forecast. Put out the last fire and survive the season and it is CONTAINED; let too much burn and the season is lost. There are four maps built from real elevation data of Mediterranean fire regions, Dalmatia in Croatia, the Algarve, the Costa del Sol and Rhodes, plus a procedural random island.
The Daily mode is the shared part. Each day everyone flies the same island, seeded from the date, and only the first attempt counts, with a streak for the days you play. Free Flight lets you pick any map and one of three difficulties, from a calm training season to RED days when the airbase itself has to be defended.
It plays with a keyboard on desktop and with touch controls on a phone held sideways, with cockpit and chase cameras. It suits players who like a short arcade flight with a goal, and anyone who wants a daily game that is not a word or number puzzle.
How to play Kanader
- Choose Daily on the start screen to fly the day's island.
- Take off from the airbase with the gear down on the runway.
- Raise the gear and skim low over the sea to scoop a load of water.
- Fly to a fire and drop the water on the flames, upwind if you can.
- Land back at base to refuel when you run low, and keep going until the season's last fire is out.

Tips
- Go for new fires first: a small fire is one drop, a big one is many trips.
- Watch the wind, which pushes the fires along; drop on the side they are spreading towards.
- Scoop from water close to the fires to save time between drops.
- Only your first daily attempt counts, so try Free Flight first if you are new to the controls.
