HistoriaQuest is a daily history game about the people, events and inventions that shaped the world. Each day brings a handful of rounds: drag cards into chronological order, or pick which figure was born first or lived the shortest life, with points, a streak bonus and a leaderboard.

About HistoriaQuest

HistoriaQuest belongs to a small family of daily quiz games from one developer, alongside games about world geography, American states and the periodic table. Its subject is history: inventions, events and the great figures behind them, with data drawn mainly from Wikipedia and other public sources.

The daily puzzle is made of several rounds. Timeline rounds give you a row of cards, inventions, historical figures, events or a mix, to drag into chronological order; when you submit, the game tells you how many are in the right position. Other rounds ask a single question about a group, such as who was born earliest, who died first or who lived the shortest life. A wildcard round changes its rule from day to day.

Each day you play builds a streak that boosts your points by 2 percent a day, up to 25 percent, and every seven days in a row earns a shield that protects the streak for one missed day. A leaderboard, leagues and an archive of past puzzles sit around the daily game, along with a weekly Survival mode. It is free in the browser with ads.

How to play HistoriaQuest

  1. Open the day's puzzle and start the first round.
  2. In a timeline round, drag the cards into chronological order and submit.
  3. Read how many cards are in the right place, and learn from the order shown.
  4. In a single-question round, pick the figure that fits, such as the one born earliest.
  5. Finish all the rounds to bank your score, and come back the next day to grow your streak.

Tips

  • Anchor each timeline on the one card you are surest of, then place the others around it.
  • Birth year and age at death are different questions: someone born late can still have died early.
  • Play daily: the streak bonus adds up to 25 percent to your points.
