Giffle
Name the TV episode from a series of GIFs.
Every day: One TV episode a day per show, the same for every player: Friends and The Simpsons each get a numbered daily puzzle (Friends was on number 1200 on 2 October 2026) where six GIFs from the episode lead you to name its season and episode. New puzzle: Midnight in your own time zone (the game loads the puzzle for your device's date and counts down to local midnight).

Giffle shows GIFs from one episode of a TV show and asks which episode it is, in six goes or fewer. A wrong guess tells you whether you have the right season and whether the answer comes earlier or later. There are separate daily games for Friends and The Simpsons, each with its own streak.
About Giffle
Giffle is a daily TV quiz built from short animated clips. Instead of a still or a quote, you get GIFs taken from a single episode, and your job is to say exactly which episode they come from: the season and the episode number, not just the show.
There are two daily games on the site, one for Friends and one for The Simpsons, and each has its own puzzle number, statistics and streak. Each day's puzzle file carries the episode's title and a short synopsis, which you see once the round is over, along with the answer.
You can take up to six goes, and the game shows one more GIF after each miss. A miss is marked yellow when you have the right season but the wrong episode and red when the season is wrong, and an arrow tells you whether the answer airs earlier or later than your guess. That turns the game into a mix of recall and a guided search through the episode list.
The site says more shows are coming. It is best for people who have watched one of the two series many times and can place a scene by a haircut, a set or a guest star.
How to play Giffle
- Open giffle.com and pick Friends or The Simpsons.
- Watch the first GIF from today's episode.
- Choose the season and episode you think it comes from and submit.
- Read the colour and arrow: yellow means right season, red means wrong season, and the arrow points to earlier or later episodes.
- Use the extra GIFs that unlock after each miss, and click the dots under the GIF to look back at earlier ones, until you find the episode or run out of six goes.
Tips
- Look for clues to the era first: hairstyles, apartments and who is dating whom narrow the season quickly.
- Use your first guess to land in the right season, since the yellow or red marker settles that straight away.
- Follow the arrow and split the remaining range in half rather than guessing at random.
- Go back to earlier GIFs after each new one; two clips together often point to one storyline.
