GeoWrecked: Geography Quiz

About GeoWrecked: Geography Quiz

GeoWrecked was released on the App Store in May 2026 by Povilas Konopackas. Its questions cover geography, history and world knowledge, and the website mentions more than 5,500 of them in beta. You answer on a 3D satellite map: drop a pin where you think the place or event is, and points are awarded by distance, so a near miss still counts.

The Daily Challenge is a fresh set of questions each day, the same for every player worldwide. Scores go onto global, country and friends leaderboards, and playing daily builds a streak. After each question you see how many kilometres you were off.

Other modes include solo practice and timed games, ranked duels against a friend or a random opponent with an Elo rating, and party rooms for up to eight invited friends. The app is free; a Premium subscription unlocks unlimited solo games and ranked duels, party hosting and extra stats.

It suits map lovers and trivia players who prefer close-enough guessing to multiple choice.

How to play GeoWrecked: Geography Quiz

1. Open GeoWrecked and start the Daily Challenge.
2. Read the question and look over the satellite map.
3. Drop your pin where you think the answer lies; closer pins score more.
4. Finish the set and compare your total on the global leaderboard.

Tips

• Zoom in before pinning: a few kilometres can change the score.
• When unsure, pin between the likely candidates to limit the distance.
• Check the distance after each answer to learn where you tend to go wrong.
