Every day: A five-minute Daily Run each day, scored against other players on a leaderboard. New puzzle: Once a day.

Galactic Bulwark Strike is a small, free arcade game that mixes a shoot 'em up with Arkanoid: you steer a paddle-ship, keep a fiery ball in play and avoid enemy fire while smashing through the Bulwarks. A five-minute Daily Run each day lets you measure your score against other players.
About Galactic Bulwark Strike
Galactic Bulwark Strike was made by one developer, Josep G. Camarasa, in his spare time and released on Steam in October 2018. You control a ship at the bottom of the screen that works as a paddle. A glowing ball bounces off it into enemies and the three Bulwark bosses, and the two rules shown on the title screen sum it up: do not let the ball fall, and do not get hit. The ball has physics, so the angle you hit it at matters.
Runs are short and built for score chasing. Nine powerups, such as a kinetic gun, homing missiles, an electric ball and wall lasers, can be upgraded with the points you earn. Artifacts picked up during a run change it, and some are cursed: one shown on the store page greatly raises damage but kills you at the seven-minute mark. There are high-score and speedrun leaderboards and a list of feats to complete.
The Daily Run sits on the main menu beside the normal game. The store page describes it as a five-minute challenge to come back to each day and measure yourself against others.
It is free on Steam for Windows, with a synthwave look and soundtrack, and suits players who like short arcade sessions with a score to beat.

Tips
- Keep the ball in play first: losing it costs more than a missed shot.
- Read an artifact's curse before taking it; some trade a short run for big damage.
- Spend score points on powerup upgrades between runs.
