PLONG is a coffee-break arcade roguelike that turns brick breaking around: you control four paddles at once on procedurally generated stages, with abilities and modifiers to collect. A Daily Run mode sets one run a day, with Steam leaderboards.

About PLONG

PLONG mixes Breakout with a roguelike. Instead of one paddle at the bottom, you guard the screen with several, and each run sends you through procedurally generated stages styled as a computer's file system, finding files that upgrade and customise your PLONG application between runs. Five abilities and more than twenty modifiers change how each run plays.\n\nIts Daily Run mode gives a single run each day, and the game uses Steam leaderboards to rank results.

PLONG is a paid game on Steam (about 2,49€ at the time of writing), made by Rob Gross.

How to play PLONG

  1. Start the Daily Run from the main menu.
  2. Keep the ball in play with your paddles.
  3. Break bricks and collect upgrades as you go.
  4. Survive the stages for the best score on the daily leaderboard.
