Every day: A seeded Daily Dungeon each day, the same dungeon for every player, with results compared against Steam friends. New puzzle: Once a day, with a new seeded dungeon.

Desktop Dungeons is a quick-play puzzle roguelike from QCF Design in which a whole dungeon fits on one screen and a run takes about ten minutes. Its Enhanced Edition added a seeded Daily Dungeon, the same for everyone each day, so you can compare your result with your Steam friends.
About Desktop Dungeons
Desktop Dungeons turns the classic roguelike into a single-screen puzzle. Each dungeon is a small grid of rooms and monsters, each marked with its level, and you choose which fights to take, when to explore to regain health and mana, and how to spend the gold and spells you find. Exploring unrevealed tiles is how you recover, so the order in which you open the map matters as much as the fights.
Between runs you build up a kingdom that unlocks new classes, races and dungeons, so a single session feeds a longer campaign. The game won awards at the 13th IGF, and the soundtrack is by Danny Baranowsky and Grant Kirkhope.
The free Enhanced Edition update added the Daily Dungeon: one seeded dungeon a day, identical for every player, so friends can play the same layout and compare how they did on Steam. It suits players who like short, tactical runs that reward planning more than reflexes.
How to play Desktop Dungeons
- Pick Daily Dungeon to play the day's seeded dungeon, or start a normal run from your kingdom.
- Choose a class and race for your hero.
- Reveal tiles to regain health and mana, and pick fights you can win by comparing levels.
- Use gold, potions and glyph spells to take on stronger monsters.
- Defeat the dungeon's boss and compare your result with friends.

Tips
- Exploring black tiles heals you, so save unexplored ground for when you need it.
- Fight monsters of your own level or lower first to level up safely.
- On the Daily Dungeon everyone has the same layout: plan the order of fights before committing.
