Daily Time Travel journey #93: a vertical timeline toward the goal year and two event cards to choose from

Daily Time Travel drops you at a historical event and gives you a goal year. At each hop you see two events and pick the one that takes you closer, trying to arrive in as few hops as you can against the day's par. Each numbered journey is the same for every player.

About Daily Time Travel

Daily Time Travel is a short history game from Klurium, the maker of Daily Timeline and Wordlander. Each day's journey has a number and a date, a starting event such as the founding of the Roman Republic, and a goal year shown at the top of a vertical timeline.

At every hop two events appear as cards, and you choose the one that moves you toward the goal; the game's tip for new players is to pick the one that happened later in time. Your position on the timeline jumps to that event's year, the hops are counted, and wrong choices and your run of correct ones are tracked beside them.

When you arrive, the result screen sets your number of hops against the par for the day and gives you a result to share. You can play again or look ahead with the next day's link. The game can be switched to Swedish from the corner of the screen.

Compared with games where you drag events into order, it is a quick sequence of two-way choices, and the par gives a reason to know your dates closely rather than roughly. It suits anyone who wants a few minutes of history a day.

Tips

  • Before you pick, place both events roughly on the timeline in your head.
  • A big jump that lands near the goal can save hops, so do not always take the nearest event.
  • Ancient and medieval dates are easy to mix up; use known anchors such as AD 0 on the timeline.
