Timeswipe
Swipe left for before, right for after: ten events a day against a given year.
Every day: A Daily Challenge of ten events, the same for every player that day: swipe each one to before or after a given year, with three hearts. New puzzle: Midnight in your local time zone (the game loads the day's cards by your device's date).

Timeswipe shows you a historical event and a year, and you swipe left if it happened before that year or right if after. The Daily Challenge has ten events and three hearts, and is the same for everyone that day. When it is done, Marathon modes let you keep playing by category.
About Timeswipe
Timeswipe is a swipe-card history game for the browser and for phones. Each card names an event, invention or moment from culture, such as the Indian Ocean tsunami or the founding of YouTube, with a picture, and the game sets it against a year.
You decide whether the event happened before or after that year: swipe left for before, right for after. A wrong guess costs one of your three hearts, and the aim of the Daily Challenge is to get through all ten cards without running out. The daily set is fixed for each date and is the same for every player, and your result can be shared.
After the daily you can go on in Marathon modes, which draw cards by category (historical events, inventions and more) and keep a high score for each. Supporters on Patreon get extra marathon settings such as chosen categories, year ranges and lengths, and the removal of ads. Signed-in players can share a run so friends get the same cards.
It suits anyone who wants a quick, thumb-friendly history check, and players of Earlier who want ten calls instead of three.
How to play Timeswipe
- Open play.timeswipe.fun or the app and choose Daily Challenge.
- Read the event on the card and the year it is set against.
- Swipe left if you think it happened before that year, right if after.
- Lose a heart for each wrong call; you have three.
- Get through all ten cards, then share your score or move on to Marathon modes.
Tips
- The year changes from card to card, so read it every time before swiping.
- Founding dates and first releases are often earlier than the moment something became famous.
- Save a heart for the last cards: an early mistake is fine if you slow down afterwards.
