Cut In Half's Daily Mode on a phone: the day's blob, a pale star-like shape, waiting to be cut, under A new blob everyday

Cut In Half is an Android precision game: drag one straight line across a shape and try to split it into two pieces of exactly the same size. Its Daily Mode brings a new blob every day to compare with other players and keep a streak, beside a 100-level challenge mode and an endless mode.

About Cut In Half: Slice Puzzle

Cut In Half asks one thing: can you cut a shape exactly in half? You drag a single straight line across the shape on screen, the game slices it, and it scores you by how close the two pieces are to equal. There are no timers or power-ups; the whole game is your eye for area and the steadiness of your cut.

The Daily Mode is the part for daily players. Each day it shows a new blob, an irregular shape with no handy symmetry, and you get your cut at it, aiming for a perfect split. The listing says you compete against your own past results and other players on the day's blob, and a streak counts the days you keep coming back.

Around the daily there are two more modes. Challenge Mode has 100 handcrafted levels across four themed seasons, from plain geometry to fruit, animals, weapons, moving targets and mystery shapes, where a cut must also pass through a target point to earn up to three stars. Endless Mode deals random shapes one after another and takes a life whenever your accuracy drops below 85 percent.

The game is made by Muhammed Ashraf for Android, plays offline and is free with ads. It is small and new, and suits anyone who likes the cut-it-in-half daily games on the web but wants one on the phone.

Tips

  • Judge the area, not the width: a bulge on one side needs the line pushed towards it.
  • Look for the heaviest lobe of the blob first and balance the rest against it.
  • Practise in Endless Mode, where random shapes train the same eye.
