Capitalle
Name the day's world capital in six guesses, steered by distance and direction.
Every day: One mystery world capital a day, the same for every player, chosen from the UTC date; you have six guesses, each answered with distance, direction and how it compares on continent, hemisphere, coast and population. New puzzle: Midnight UTC; the game picks the day's capital from the UTC date.

Capitalle asks you to find one world capital a day. You type any capital, and the game tells you how far away the answer is, which way to go, a closeness score, and whether it shares your guess's continent, hemisphere and coastline. You have six tries.
About Capitalle
Capitalle is the main game on capitalle.app, a small site of daily geography and trivia puzzles. Each day one capital city is the answer for everyone, picked from the date in UTC, and you have six guesses to reach it.
Every guess must be a capital. After each one the game shows the distance in kilometres between your city and the answer, an arrow pointing towards it, and a closeness percentage coloured as hot above 80 percent, warm above 50 and cold below that. It also marks whether your guess is on the same continent, in the same hemisphere and, like the answer, on the coast or inland, and gives a population hint. Together these let you close in from the other side of the world within a few tries.
A share card shows your row of coloured squares without giving away the city, and the game keeps your streak and guess distribution. A Practice mode serves random capitals for extra rounds. Hard mode, part of the paid Pro plan, hides the direction arrow and leaves only the distance.
The same site runs seven other dailies, including Earthle (a country from its outline), Brandle (a blurred logo) and a version of Travle, so Capitalle is easy to pair with them.
How to play Capitalle
- Open Capitalle and type the name of any world capital.
- Read the distance, the direction arrow and the closeness percentage for your guess.
- Check the continent, hemisphere, coastal and population hints to narrow the region.
- Guess again towards the arrow; you have six tries in all.
- Share your result, which shows your path as coloured squares.
Tips
- Open with a central capital such as Cairo or Ankara; the arrow and distance from there point to most of the world.
- Use the coastal match early: it rules out half of the candidates in many regions.
- Distance matters more than the arrow over long ranges, since bearings on a globe curve.
- Watch the population hint once you are on the right continent; it separates neighbouring capitals well.

At midnight UTC. The game picks the day's capital from the date in UTC.
How many guesses do I get?
Six, and every guess must be a world capital.
What do the colours mean?
Green is correct, orange is hot (more than 80 percent close), blue is warm (more than 50 percent) and black is cold.
What is hard mode?
A Pro feature that hides the direction arrow, so you only see the distance.
Can I play more than once a day?
The daily is once a day, but Practice mode gives random capitals as often as you like.
