About Boneraiser Minions
Boneraiser Minions is a gothic-horror auto-battler roguelite by the solo developer caiys, released on Steam in March 2023. You are a Boneraiser, a necromancer hunted by King Gigald's crusade, and you fight endless waves of heroes with an army of undead that grows as you play.
You do not attack directly. You dash around avoiding enemies and pick up the bones and souls they drop, then spend them to raise and upgrade minions: melee pulverisers, magic missilers, hexers and augurs. Relics and spell scrolls add boosts and attacks, and between runs you spend coins on Boneraise Lore upgrades. There are several modes: Mausoleum Awakens, Necrotic Skirmishes, Castle Conquest and a collectable card game called Clashful Cards.
The daily part is the Boneworld Challenges mode, which the store describes as a Daily and Weekly Challenge where you compete against the world on an equal footing. A Fortnightly Challenge sits next to them. The developer's patch notes list fix after fix to make more of the challenge seeded, such as event types, spawn positions and shop offers, so that each run of the day plays out the same.
It suits players of Vampire Survivors and other horde games who prefer commanding a growing army to aiming a weapon, and who like a fresh short run to compare scores each day.
How to play Boneraiser Minions
- Open Boneworld Challenges and pick the Daily Challenge.
- Move and dash around the map to avoid the heroes and collect the bones and souls they drop.
- Spend bones to raise new minions or upgrade the ones you have; they fight on their own.
- Pick up relics and spell scrolls and cast spells at the right moment.
- Survive as long as you can and score as high as you can, then see your place on the leaderboard.

- Keep moving: your minions do the fighting, your job is to stay alive and keep collecting bones.
- Mix minion types, since melee, ranged and support minions each have their own fighting style.
- Save powerful spells for the moments when the screen fills up, rather than casting them on cooldown.
