Witstep

Witstep share image: daily logic and math puzzles for curious minds

Witstep sets one bite-sized puzzle a day, like three guardians where only one tells the truth, and asks you to pick the right answer from four. Solving it builds a daily streak, and themed paths of number sequences and logic problems are there to play at your own pace.

About Witstep

Witstep is a small puzzle site that works in single steps. Every day there is one shared puzzle on the Daily page. A typical one shows three guardians in front of a vault, each making a statement about where a golden key is, with the rule that exactly one of them tells the truth; you read the statements, pick one of four answers and check it. A hint is there if you need a nudge.

Solving the daily keeps your streak going, and the home page shows today's title, the date and whether you have already done it. Beside the daily puzzle there is a Journey: themed paths of levels to work through whenever you like. At the time of writing they cover number sequences, logic and paradoxes, and a path about chains of reasoning called Then and Therefore, with a Surprise me button for a random question.

The daily puzzle changes at midnight UTC. Witstep is free with no paywalls or ads and runs in the browser. Its questions are short and gentle, which suits players who want a quick brainteaser rather than a long grid.

How to play Witstep

  1. Open the Daily page to see the day's puzzle.
  2. Read the setup and every statement or clue.
  3. Choose one of the four answers.
  4. Press Check answer; use a hint if you are stuck.
  5. Come back the next day to extend your streak, or play levels from the Journey paths.

Tips

  • In truth-and-liar puzzles, assume each speaker is the truthful one in turn and look for a contradiction.
  • Statements that contradict each other cannot both be true, which often settles the riddle quickly.
  • Number sequence questions often hide two patterns alternating; check the odd and even positions separately.
