About Well Duel (Yuki Games)

Well Duel is a free browser game by Yuki Andersen, from the same set of small games as Wellspring and Well Putt. Each player controls a ship with a single button.

Holding the button grabs the nearest gravity well, so your ship swings round it in orbit. Letting go sends you off in a straight line, and the timing of the release sets your direction. Ships bounce off each other with a boost, so a fast, well-aimed hit sends your opponent flying. After 13 seconds the ring starts to shrink, which punishes waiting at the edge. Knocking the other ship out scores a point, and the first to five wins.

Two people can play on one keyboard (W against P) or on one phone or tablet, each holding half of the screen. Alone, you can play the AI at several levels, or the Daily Duel: a gauntlet of three duels that is the same for everyone that day.

It suits anyone looking for a quick local multiplayer game or a short daily arcade challenge.

How to play Well Duel (Yuki Games)

1. Open Well Duel and choose the Daily Duel, the AI or two players.
2. Hold your button to grab the nearest gravity well and orbit it.
3. Release to slingshot off in a straight line.
4. Hit your rival hard to knock them out of the ring.
5. Score five knockouts to win the match.

Tips

• Approach a well fast; you keep your speed in orbit, and a faster orbit means a harder hit.
• Release when your rival is just ahead of your orbit path, aiming where they are drifting.
• When the ring turns red, fight for the middle.
