Vexdle in English: Choose a mode, with Flags, Shapes, Capitals, Vexillology, Zoom, Trivia, Currency and Languages, and Gauntlet

Vexdle is a daily geography game with seven modes, each with its own secret country: by flag, outline, capital, flag description, flag close-up, currency and languages, or trivia. Each guess shows the distance, direction and whether the continent matches. It plays in Portuguese or English.

About Vexdle

Vexdle takes its name from vexillology, the study of flags, and flags are at its heart. In Flags mode the whole flag is shown and you name the country in six tries; Zoom shows only a close-up of part of a flag, and Vexillology describes the flag in words. Shapes shows the country's outline, rotated, and it straightens with each guess. Capitals, Currency and Languages, and Trivia round out the seven daily modes, and Gauntlet runs all of the day's dailies back to back.

Each guess goes in a table showing your country with its flag, whether its continent matches the answer, the distance in kilometres with a bar that fills as you get closer, and an arrow pointing toward the secret country. After three wrong guesses optional hints unlock. When you finish you can share your result as emoji, see the country on a 3D globe and read facts about it.

There is no sign-up. Past days can be replayed, and an Academy mode lets you practise without limits on more than 190 countries, with continent filters and a hard mode, and it works offline. The site opens in Portuguese with an EN switch for English.

How to play Vexdle

  1. Open vexdle.net, switch to EN for English, and choose a mode such as Flags or Shapes.
  2. Type a country name and submit your guess.
  3. Read the feedback: continent match, distance in kilometres and an arrow toward the answer.
  4. Narrow it down within six tries, using the optional hints after three misses.
  5. Share your result, look at the country on the globe, and try the next mode or the Gauntlet.

Tips

  • Use your first guess to find the continent: a central country gives the most useful distance.
  • Follow the arrow and distance together; two guesses usually pin down a region.
  • In Shapes, wait for the outline to straighten before guessing islands and coastlines.
  • Practise in Academy mode with a continent filter to learn the flags you miss.
