Flaggle How to play screen: a US flag and a wrong guess of Sweden with continent, direction and distance hints

Flaggle is an iPhone flag quiz in the Wordle mould. Each day it shows one mystery flag, the same for all players, and you have six guesses to name the country; every wrong guess tells you whether you have the right continent, how far off you are and which direction to look.

About Flaggle · Daily Flag Quiz (app)

Flaggle comes from Hypercollider and arrived on the App Store in July 2025. The idea fits in a line: one flag, six guesses, a hint after every wrong one. You type any country name, and a miss returns three clues: whether the answer is on the same continent, the distance in kilometres from your guess and an arrow pointing toward the answer.

There are two difficulty levels. In Classic the whole flag is shown and you only have to place it. In Hard the flag starts hidden and split into sections, and each wrong guess uncovers another piece as well as the hints.

Daily mode gives one shared flag for everyone, every day, and keeps your stats and streak. When you finish, the share button copies a spoiler-free grid of coloured squares to send to friends. Unlimited mode lets you keep playing after the daily.

It suits flag fans, geography quiz players and anyone who enjoys Worldle-style distance hints.

How to play Flaggle · Daily Flag Quiz (app)

  1. Open Flaggle and choose Daily mode, in Classic or Hard difficulty.
  2. Look at the flag (or the first revealed section in Hard) and type a country.
  3. Use the continent, distance and direction hints to narrow it down.
  4. Name the country within six guesses and share your result grid.

Tips

  • Start with a central country on the continent you suspect, so the direction arrow is most useful.
  • In Hard mode, a guess that reveals colours is worth as much as one that is close.
  • Learn flags that look alike, such as Chad and Romania or Indonesia and Monaco.
