Flagordle hides today's flag behind six tiles. Each wrong guess uncovers another tile and tells you how far your country is from the answer and in which direction to turn. Besides country flags there are daily modes for US states, cities, historical nations and fictional flags.

About Flagordle

Flagordle mixes the flag reveal of Flagle with the distance hints of Worldle. Today's flag starts hidden behind six tiles. You type a country and submit; if you are wrong, one more tile of the flag is revealed and your guess shows the great-circle distance to the answer's centre and an arrow pointing toward it, in kilometres or miles.

You have six guesses. A new flag arrives at midnight US Eastern time, and the countdown shows when in your local time. Stats, streaks and guess distributions live only in your browser, with no account. An unlimited mode with no clock or streak lets you practise.

The same site runs daily and unlimited games for US state flags, city flags such as Tokyo or Amsterdam, flags of former nations like the USSR or Yugoslavia, and fictional flags from films and books. It suits flag fans and players of Worldle who like the extra help of direction arrows.

How to play Flagordle

  1. Open flagordle.com and choose the daily game.
  2. Look at the uncovered part of the flag.
  3. Type a country name and submit.
  4. After a miss, read the distance and direction and look at the newly revealed tile.
  5. Name the flag within six guesses.

Tips

  • Use the direction arrow even when the flag gives nothing away: one guess can move you across a continent.
  • Colours from the first tile rule out many countries before you guess.
  • Try the historical mode if you know your 20th-century maps.
