Trordle
Rate itFind three hidden five-letter words with one set of eight guesses.
Every day: Two shared puzzles a day: daily Trordle (three five-letter words in eight guesses) and daily Trordle+ (nine guesses, with extra answer words that end in S). Each day's puzzle is numbered and the same for everyone. New puzzle: Midnight on your device's clock (the puzzle number counts days by local date).

Trordle is a Wordle remix that puts three boards side by side. Every word you type counts as a guess on all three, and you have eight guesses to find the three hidden words. A new numbered daily puzzle comes each day, along with a harder Trordle+ and a free mode for extra games.
About Trordle
Trordle takes the idea of Dordle, which plays two Wordle boards at once, and adds a third. Each day there are three hidden five-letter words. You type one word at a time, and it goes onto all three boards at once, where its tiles turn green for a right letter in the right place, yellow for a right letter in the wrong place and grey for a letter that is not in that word. You have eight guesses to solve all three.
The game was made by diablomono and first published on itch.io in early 2022; it now runs at trordle.pages.dev. Its title screen credits Dordle by Guilherme S. Töws and Wordle by Josh Wardle as the games it builds on.
The daily puzzle is numbered from the game's first day, so everyone playing on the same date gets the same three words. Next to it sits daily Trordle+, a second shared puzzle that adds about a thousand answer words ending in S and gives nine guesses instead of eight. Free Trordle and free Trordle+ give a fresh random set whenever you like, outside the daily count.
The on-screen keyboard splits each key into three colour strips, one for each board, so you can see at a glance which letters are still open in which word. When you finish, you can copy your result as text, copy it in a Discord format that hides your guesses behind spoiler tags, or make an image of it. There is a colour-blind palette and a dark mode.
The hard part is the budget: with three words and eight guesses, you have little room to spend guesses on one board while the other two wait. It suits players who already find Wordle or Dordle quick and want a tighter squeeze, but not yet the sprawl of Quordle or Octordle. It plays in the browser with no account.
How to play Trordle
- Open trordle.pages.dev and choose daily trordle (or daily trordle+ for the harder version).
- Type any five-letter word and press Enter; it is entered on all three boards at once.
- Read each board's colours: green is the right letter in the right place, yellow is in that word but elsewhere, grey is not in that word.
- Use the keyboard's three-part keys to see which letters are still possible for each word.
- Solve all three words within eight guesses (nine in Trordle+); a solved board stops taking guesses.
- Copy or share your result, then come back the next day for a new numbered puzzle.

Tips
- Spend your first two guesses on words with different common letters, such as CRANE and MOIST, to light up all three boards.
- Once one board is nearly solved, finish it: a solved word frees later guesses to work only on the other two.
- Pick guesses that test open letters on two boards at once rather than a word that only helps one.
- In Trordle+, keep in mind that many answers end in S, so a final S is often worth testing.
