Space Scavenger is an action roguelike for Windows in which you build and fly your own spaceship from parts you find. Each day an online daily challenge gives every player the same starting conditions, and the best scores of the day go on a shared board alongside each player's ship design.
About Space Scavenger
Space Scavenger is a top-down action roguelike from Red Cabin Games, released on Steam for Windows in August 2021. You command a small spaceship lost in alien-infested space, and the way home runs through procedurally generated levels where death ends the run.
The ship is the heart of it. As you fight and explore planets you pick up weapons, shields and utility modules, from slingshots to ion cannons, and attach them to your hull on a grid in build mode, on the fly. Ammunition and energy are limited, so the layout you choose decides how long you last as the levels get harder.
The online daily challenge is the shared part. Each day every player starts from the same prerequisites and tries for the best score of that day. When the run ends you can compare your result with others and open their ship designs in the daily challenge lobby, which shows how other players solved the same start.
It suits players who like short, replayable runs with a building twist, and who enjoy measuring one attempt against everyone else on the same seed. It is a paid game on Steam with English and several other languages.
How to play Space Scavenger
