Scram
Rate itUnscramble ten words from one hidden theme against the clock.
Every day: One broad theme a day, such as jobs, cities, food, animals or first names, with ten scrambled answers from it, the same for every player. Answers get longer through the week, and the Sunday Edition has the longest, up to twelve letters and often two words. New puzzle: Midnight Eastern Time.

Scram is a free daily word scramble from Mind Loft. Each day has one theme and ten scrambled answers from it, and you unscramble as many as you can while the clock runs. Your score is answers solved out of ten, with time breaking ties on the daily leaderboard.
About Scram
Scram is a daily themed word scramble on Mind Loft, the free browser puzzle site that also runs Garble, Tuck, Scour and many other daily games. Each day picks one broad theme, such as cities, countries, food, animals, jobs or first names, and deals ten answers from it with their letters jumbled.
The theme stays hidden until you press Start, and the clock starts with it. Each answer shows its scrambled letters above a row of empty boxes, and the on-screen keyboard lights only the letters in that scramble, with a small number on any letter that appears more than once. A finished answer checks itself, and you can move between the ten in any order, skipping a hard one and coming back to it later.
The score is how many of the ten you solve, and your time breaks ties on the daily leaderboard. The week builds in difficulty: answers run longer as the days go on, and the Sunday Edition has the longest of all, up to twelve letters and often two words. Past days stay playable in the archive. On 18 October 2026, a Sunday, the board was the Sunday Edition on the theme Countries, opening with the eight letters APKNTIAS.
Scram suits players who like a quick anagram run with a bit of speed to it. The theme helps: once you know today's set is jobs, a jumble like UTRECRK is much easier to read. It needs no app and no account.
How to play Scram
- Open Scram on Mind Loft and press Start to reveal today's theme and start the clock.
- Read the scrambled letters for the first answer and work out which word from the theme they spell.
- Type the word on your keyboard or the on-screen keys, where only the scramble's letters are live.
- When the word is complete it checks itself; move on with Next, or skip to the next open answer if you are stuck.
- Go back to skipped answers until all ten are solved or you stop, then see your score and time on the leaderboard.

Tips
- Use the theme first: think of words in the category with the right number of letters before shuffling letters in your head.
- Skip an answer that does not come quickly; the clock keeps running, and another answer may come at once.
- On Sundays expect two-word answers, so look for a split in the letters rather than one long word.
