SatZoom (SatPixel)
Rate itName the day's city from a satellite view that zooms out after each miss.
Every day: SatZoom Daily: one mystery city every 24 hours, the same for every player, shown from close above, to name in six tries as the view zooms out. New puzzle: Every 24 hours (the site says a new city puzzle every 24 hours; no hour given).

SatZoom starts you on a high-zoom satellite view of one city's streets and asks which city it is. You have six tries; each wrong guess pulls the view back, and tells you how far your guess was from the answer and in which direction. Country, continent and topic packs give more cities to practise on.
About SatZoom (SatPixel)
SatZoom is SatPixel's daily city puzzle, which the site describes as a Wordle-like game for geography. The round opens on a close satellite view of a mystery city: blocks, rooftops, a square, perhaps a cathedral or a river bank. You type a city, pick it from the suggestions and press Guess.
A wrong guess gives three kinds of help. The map zooms out to show more of the surroundings, a distance figure tells you how many kilometres your guess was from the target, and an arrow points the way. Numbered buttons down the side let you go back to earlier views. With six tries, the last views show enough of the coast, rivers or street plan to place the city on a continent.
City names can be typed in English, Chinese, Spanish, French, Russian or Arabic, and common nicknames and local names are matched. Outside the daily there are country packs (United States, China, France, the United Kingdom, India and others), continent packs and topic sets such as the 2026 World Cup host cities. Its sister game SatPin asks you to pin satellite views on a map instead.
How to play SatZoom (SatPixel)
- Open SatZoom Daily on satpixel.com to see the first close-up view.
- Study the streets, roofs, landmarks and greenery for clues.
- Type a city name, pick it from the dropdown and press Guess.
- If you miss, use the wider view, the distance in kilometres and the direction arrow for your next guess.
- Find the city within six tries and share your result.
Tips
- Roof colours and street widths hint at the region: red tile roofs, flat concrete roofs, wide American grids.
- Use the direction arrow after a far-off guess to jump straight to the right continent.
- Click back through the numbered views: an early close-up may show a detail you missed.
- Local names and nicknames are accepted, so type whatever name you know.
