Redact (Mind Loft)
An article with every word blacked out: guess words until you can name its subject.
Every day: One fully blacked-out article a day about one famous subject, the same for every player, with its category and difficulty shown. Guess words to uncover them everywhere they appear, with no guess limit, until you uncover the title. Daily leaderboard. New puzzle: Midnight US Eastern Time.

Redact is a free daily uncover-the-article game from Mind Loft. Each day an article about one famous subject is shown with every word hidden apart from the most common ones. You guess words one at a time, each hit is revealed everywhere it appears, and you win by uncovering the title.
About Redact (Mind Loft)
Redact is a game in the style of Redactle on Mind Loft, a free site of daily browser games. Each day there is one article about a famous subject, the same for everyone, with every word covered by a coloured block. Only very common words such as the, of, and and was are shown from the start. The game tells you the subject's category and difficulty; on the day we looked it was a Place, rated Hard.
You guess one word at a time. Every correct word is uncovered in every place it appears in the article, and plurals count, so guessing year also reveals years. Tapping a block shows how many letters it hides. As more words appear, the shape of the text gives away what kind of place, person or thing it describes, and the aim is to uncover the title.
There is no guess limit and no time pressure on the guesses, though a clock runs and the header tracks your guesses, hit rate and the share of the article uncovered. Those numbers feed the day's leaderboard.
A new article goes up at midnight US Eastern Time, and Sundays bring a bigger or harder one. Redact sits with Mind Loft's other trivia dailies such as Deep, Niche and Listed, and suits players of Pedantle or Redactle who want one shared article a day.
