Queens Puzzle Game

Queens Puzzle Game Daily #49: an empty 8x8 board of pastel colour regions with Undo, Hint and Clear below and a How to play note beside it

Queens Puzzle Game gives everyone the same numbered Queens board each day, reset at midnight. You place one crown in every row, column and colour region with no two touching, and every board is solver-checked to have one solution. Unlimited boards from 6x6 to 10x10 and an archive of past dailies are there for more.

About Queens Puzzle Game

Queens Puzzle Game is a free browser version of the Star Battle-family puzzle LinkedIn made popular as Queens. The board is split into colour regions, and you place exactly one crown in every row, every column and every region, with no two crowns touching, not even diagonally.

The Daily tab holds one shared, numbered board that is the same for everyone; on 6 October 2026 it was Daily #49, an 8x8 grid. It resets at midnight, a timer runs as you play, and the archive keeps every past daily for replay. The Unlimited tab deals fresh boards from 6x6 to 10x10 whenever you want one, each generated with a guaranteed unique solution.

Tap a cell once for an X and twice for a crown, a third time to clear it; on a computer you can drag to paint X's or right-click to drop a crown. Undo, Hint and Clear sit under the board, and an Auto-X setting crosses out every cell a new crown rules out. There is no login or download, and the page carries an ad.

The site also has a strategy guide with seven named techniques. It suits LinkedIn Queens players who want a second daily board with no account.

Tips

  • A region of one or two cells pins its crown down almost at once.
  • A region that lives inside one row or column claims that line for itself.
  • When two regions can only use the same two rows, no other region may use them.
