The PriceTag start screen on MatchIQ: "Guess the transfer fee", 5 deals, 1,000 points per deal, clock off, a Daily button with streak, and Higher or Lower and Random modes

PriceTag is MatchIQ's daily transfer-fee game. Each day brings five real moves between clubs, with the player, both clubs and the year, and you estimate the fee that was reported for each. The closer your number, the more of the 1,000 points per deal you keep.

About PriceTag

PriceTag is about the money side of football. Each round is a transfer card for a real, completed move: the player, the club that sold him, the club that bought him and the year it happened. You type in what you think the deal cost, lock it in, and see the reported fee next to your guess.

The daily set has five deals, the same for every player that day, so scores line up on a daily leaderboard. Each deal is worth up to 1,000 points, and the nearer your estimate is to the widely reported figure, the more you score. There is no clock in the daily.

The skill is reading the market of the time. A young forward moving to a rich league costs far more than an established defender of the same standing, and a record fee from ten years ago looks modest now, so anchoring your number to the season on the card matters as much as knowing the player.

PriceTag is one of MatchIQ's football dailies, next to TimeLineup, TikiTaka and NameTen. Besides the daily there is a Higher or Lower mode and a Random mode for more rounds, and a free account keeps your streak, stats and rank.

How to play PriceTag

  4. See the real figure and your points for the deal.
  5. Repeat for all five deals and compare your total on the day's leaderboard.

Tips

  • Price the era: anchor your guess to fees from the season shown, not to today's market.
  • Forwards and young players with room to grow cost more than defenders or veterans of similar standing.
  • Moves into the richest leagues carry a premium, so nudge your guess up when the buyer is a big spender.
