GroundIQ
Stand inside five real stadiums a day and name the club that plays there.
Every day: Five real football grounds a day, the same for every player: from a fixed view inside each stadium, name the home club within 45 seconds, for up to 1,000 points a ground and a daily leaderboard. New puzzle: Midnight in your local time (the MatchIQ dailies follow your device's date).

GroundIQ is MatchIQ's daily stadium game. Each day you are dropped into five real football grounds and have 45 seconds in each to name the club that plays its home games there. You can look around from where you stand but not move, and quicker correct answers score more.
About GroundIQ
GroundIQ tests whether you can recognise a football ground from the inside. Each round places you at one spot in a real stadium. You can turn to take in the stands, the roof, the seat colours and whatever lies beyond the pitch, but you cannot walk off to find a sign, so the answer has to come from what you see from that one position.
The daily is five grounds with 45 seconds each, the same for every player that day. Each ground is worth up to 1,000 points, and a correct answer locked in quickly earns more than one given at the buzzer. Totals go on a daily leaderboard.
Grounds give themselves away in small ways: initials or a crest picked out in the seats, a home colour across a stand, the shape of a roof, the floodlights, a city skyline or hills behind one end. A huge multi-tier bowl points one way, a compact single stand another.
GroundIQ is one of MatchIQ's football dailies, next to PriceTag, TimeLineup, TikiTaka and NameTen. It suits fans who have watched a lot of football on television and players of look-around geography games who want a football twist.
How to play GroundIQ
- Open GroundIQ on MatchIQ and press Daily.
- Look around the stadium from your fixed spot: stands, seats, roof and skyline.
- Pick the club you think plays its home games there before the 45 seconds run out.
- See the answer and your points, then go on to the next ground.
- After all five, compare your total on the day's leaderboard.
Tips
- Seat colours often match the home kit, and many clubs spell out initials or a crest in the stands.
- Judge the size of the ground first to narrow the league before you name a club.
- Look past the pitch: skylines, hills and nearby buildings tell you the city or country.
- Answer as soon as you are sure, since faster correct answers score more.
