TimeLineup
Drag famous football moments into date order in as few tries as you can.
Every day: One shuffled set of famous football moments a day, the same for everyone: drag them into date order without seeing any dates, with green and red feedback after each locked attempt. New puzzle: Midnight in your local time (the site picks the daily by your device's date).

TimeLineup is a football history puzzle from MatchIQ. You get a shuffled set of moments such as transfers, trophies, debuts, records and famous matches, and you drag them into chronological order with no dates shown. Each locked attempt marks cards green or red, and fewer tries means a higher score.
About TimeLineup
TimeLineup tests a particular kind of football knowledge: not names or numbers, but when things happened relative to each other. The day's puzzle is a set of famous moments from the sport, shuffled. They can be transfers, trophies, debuts, records or well known matches, and no dates are shown while you play.
You drag the cards up or down to build your best guess at the order, then lock it in. Cards in the right slot turn green and cards in the wrong slot turn red. You then rearrange the red ones and lock again. You have a limited number of attempts, and the fewer you use, the higher your score.
You never type a year: knowing that one event came before another is enough. That makes it as much a game of reasoning as of memory, since you can often place an event by what it must have come before or after.
The daily lineup is the same for everyone and can be shared. Outside the daily you can play random lineups and send a link so friends attempt the exact same set. MatchIQ runs other daily football games on the same site, including NameTen and TikiTaka.
How to play TimeLineup
- Open TimeLineup and read the day's shuffled football moments.
- Drag each card up or down until the order looks right to you.
- Lock your order: green cards are in the right slot, red cards belong elsewhere.
- Rearrange the red cards and lock again, solving it in as few tries as you can.
Tips
- Place the moment you are surest is oldest and the one you are surest is newest first, then fill the middle.
- Leave green cards where they are and spend each new attempt only on the red ones.
- Think in eras before years: sort the moments into rough decades, then order within each.
- Use what you know about careers: a player's debut has to come before his record or his big transfer.
Questions
Do I need to know exact dates?

How many tries do I get?
A limited number per puzzle; solving it in fewer tries earns a higher score.
Can friends play the same puzzle?
Yes. The daily lineup is the same for everyone, and random lineups can be shared with a link.
