OverwatchDLE puts four Overwatch puzzles on one page each day. In Heroes you guess a hero and see how their attributes compare with the answer's, closing in Wordle style. In Maps a picture of a map slowly zooms out until you recognise it, a little like GeoGuessr for Overwatch. Silhouette shows a blurred outline of a hero, and Abilities asks you to name the hero from their ability icons alone.

Everyone gets the same answers each day, so friends can compare tries in private groups or race each other on the same puzzles, and streamers can play along with their chat. Two bonus modes add a hero challenge, revealed one cell per try, and a map challenge with a tight crop and drained colour, each with its own stats.

The game is free, needs no account and stores your streak in your browser. Missed days can be replayed from the archive without affecting stats, yesterday's answers are published each morning, and a codex lists every hero and map. The same makers run similar daily games for Valorant, Marvel Rivals, Apex Legends, Deadlock, Dead by Daylight, Rainbow Six, Street Fighter 6, Tekken and For Honor. It is not affiliated with Blizzard Entertainment.

How to play OverwatchDLE (overwatchdle.day)

1. Open OverwatchDLE and start with the Heroes mode.
2. Guess any hero and compare the coloured attribute clues with the answer's.
3. In Maps, name the map as the picture zooms out; in Silhouette, name the blurred hero.
4. In Abilities, name the hero from their ability icons.
5. Keep your streak and compare results with friends in a group.

Tips

• Use the first hero guess to split by role: tank, damage or support narrows the field quickly.
• On the map picture, look at architecture and colour palette before small details.
• Check the codex if you are unsure which hero owns an ability.
• Read yesterday's answers each morning to fill gaps in your knowledge.
