DEADLOCKDLE is a free daily guessing game for players of Valve's Deadlock. Each day you find a hero from six attribute clues, from a blurred render, from an ability icon hidden behind tiles and from a blurred signature weapon, with unlimited guesses and a score counted in tries.

About DEADLOCKDLE

DEADLOCKDLE is a fan-made daily game about Valve's Deadlock, in the style of Wordle and LoLdle. It is made by Tristan Lainé, a solo developer in France, as part of Taxon Games, which also runs daily games for Overwatch, Rainbow Six Siege, Valorant, Apex Legends and others. It is not affiliated with Valve.

The day has four puzzles. In Hero mode you type any hero's name and get a row of six cells: class, gender, weapon type, range, health and release year. Green is a match and red a miss; range turns orange when it is one step off, such as Medium against Close; health and year show arrows for higher or lower. Silhouette starts on a dark, blurred full-body render that clears with each wrong guess. Ability hides one signature ability icon behind tiles that drop away, and Weapon shows a hero's gun blurred and dark until you can name who carries it.

Guesses are unlimited and there is no game over: the score is the number of tries, and a share grid shows it without spoilers. The bonus Hero Challenge uses a different hero and uncovers only one cell of each row per guess, so you work from partial clues. Solving one puzzle a day keeps a streak going, the archive replays past days, and yesterday's answers go up each morning.

It suits Deadlock players who know the roster's stats and kits. It runs in the browser on phone or desktop, can be added to a home screen, and keeps progress without an account.

How to play DEADLOCKDLE

  1. Open deadlockdle.day and choose Hero mode.
  2. Type a hero's name in the search bar, which autocompletes, and press Guess.
  3. Read the six cells: green is a match, orange a range one step off, red a miss, and arrows show whether health and release year are higher or lower.
  4. Keep guessing until the row is all green; your score is the number of tries.
  5. Play Silhouette, Ability and Weapon, where each miss clears more of the blur or drops more tiles.
  6. Share your result and come back after local midnight for the next four.

Tips

  • Weapon type and range together cut the roster fast, so open with a hero whose gun is unlike most others.
  • Use the health arrow early: it splits tanky heroes from fragile ones in one guess.
  • In Weapon mode, the outline of the gun shows before its details: think about the size and shape first.
  • If a puzzle beats you, check yesterday's answers the next morning to learn the heroes you missed.
