BG3dle is a free daily guessing game for Baldur's Gate 3 players. Each day you work out one character from clues about act, class, species, faction and gender, name who spoke a line of dialogue, and identify a spell from its grey icon, with new puzzles at midnight Eastern Time.

About BG3dle

BG3dle is a fan-made daily game about Baldur's Gate 3, built along the lines of LoLdle and the other game -dles. The home page offers three modes, Classic, Quote and Spell, and each has one answer per day, shared by everyone and changing at midnight New York time.

In Classic you type the name of any character in the list, from companions such as Lae'zel and Gale to villains and minor faces met on the road. Each guess fills a row of clues: the act in which you first meet them, their class or role, species, faction and gender. Green means a match, red a miss, and for the act an orange cell with an arrow points earlier or later. Guesses are unlimited, you cannot pick the same character twice, and after five misses a quote from the answer appears as a hint.

Quote gives you a line of in-game dialogue and six tries to name the speaker. Spell shows a spell's icon in black and white; you have six tries, each wrong guess shows its level and school with an arrow for the level, and after four misses the answer's level and school appear. A right answer brings the icon's colours back. For now the spell list covers cantrips and spells of levels 1 to 3.

It suits players who have spent many hours in the Sword Coast and want a short daily check of what they remember. Wins and streaks for each mode are kept in the browser with no account, a colourblind mode swaps the clue colours for blue, yellow and orange, and each mode has a share button that copies your result.

How to play BG3dle

  1. Open bg3dle.com and choose Classic.
  2. Type a Baldur's Gate 3 character's name, pick it from the list and press Guess.
  3. Read the row: green is a match for act, class or role, species, faction or gender, red is a miss, and an arrow on the act points earlier or later.
  4. Keep guessing until every cell is green; after five misses a quote from the answer is shown as a hint.
  5. Play Quote to name the speaker of a line in six tries, then Spell to name a spell from its grey icon in six tries.
  6. Share your result and come back after midnight Eastern Time for the next set.

Tips

  • Start Classic with a character met in Act 2, so the act arrow tells you which way to go.
  • Faction narrows the field fast: a green Goblin Camp or Emerald Grove cell leaves only a few names.
  • In Spell, a wrong guess still tells you the level and school it has, so guess spells from different schools early.
