Dark Souls Dle
Rate itSix daily Dark Souls trials: name a character, weapon or speaker from tiles, clues, emoji and quotes.
Every day: Six trials a day on Dark Souls 1 to 3: Classic (a character from attributes), Quote, Emoji, Riddle, Armory (a weapon) and Forge (the armament from a boss soul). Each choice of games has its own answer, the same for everyone who picks it. New puzzle: 23:00, local time.

Dark Souls Dle is a fan-made daily guessing game for Dark Souls, Dark Souls II and Dark Souls III. Each day it sets six trials: name a character from attribute tiles, the speaker of a quote, a character from emoji or a riddle, a weapon from its stats, and the armament forged from a boss soul. You choose which of the three games the answers come from.
About Dark Souls Dle
Dark Souls Dle is a browser guessing game built around the Dark Souls trilogy. Every day it sets six trials, and everyone who plays the same trial with the same choice of games gets the same answer. The puzzle pool, as the site's about page puts it, holds 201 characters and 347 weapons spread over the three games.
Classic is the main trial. You type a character's name and the board compares it with the hidden one on columns such as gender, species, role, location, affiliation and souls. A tick means an exact match, an approximate sign a shared trait or the same part of the world, and a cross nothing in common. Locations count as close when they belong to the same stretch of the journey in one game, so Farron Keep and the Smouldering Lake score a partial. On a number column an arrow says whether the answer is higher or lower. Hint boxes for species, location and affiliation open after 4, 7 and 10 guesses.
Armory works the same way for weapons, with class, damage, scaling, status, weight, source and release order. Forge shows a boss soul and asks for an armament made from it; when a soul gives two, the class hint settles which one. Riddle gives three clues in a character's own voice, the first free and the rest every three guesses. Emoji shows three emoji, a new one every two guesses. Quote gives a verbatim line from the games, from a small pool of checked lines.
A row of DS1, DS2 and DS3 buttons sets which games a trial draws from. This changes the puzzle, not just the list: each selection has its own daily answer and its own save, so a player who only knows the first game can play that pool alone. In the all-games pool a Game column appears as well.
Guesses are unlimited and you can give up. A counter shows how many players have found the day's answer, the previous day's answer is shown under the board, and you can copy a numbered result to share. Finishing any one trial keeps your streak going. Progress is kept in your browser with no account, and an archive lets you play past days, which do not count for the streak.
The site is an unofficial fan project and is not connected with FromSoftware or Bandai Namco.
How to play Dark Souls Dle
- Open darksoulsdle.com and, if you like, pick DS1, DS2 or DS3 to limit the answers to those games.
- Choose a trial: Classic, Quote, Emoji, Riddle, Armory or Forge.
- Type a character or weapon name and pick it from the list.
- Read the tiles: a tick is an exact match, an approximate sign a close one, a cross no match, and an arrow on Souls or Weight points toward the answer.
- Keep guessing until you find the answer, then share your result or move on to the next trial.

Tips
- If you only know one of the games, select just that game: it has its own daily answer drawn from that game alone.
- In Classic, a partial on Location means the same part of the journey in one game, so look at nearby areas.
- In Riddle and Emoji, more clues appear as you guess, so early wrong guesses still help.
- In Forge, a soul that gives two armaments is settled by the Class hint.
- Clearing any one trial keeps your streak, so a short Classic run is enough on a busy day.
