Monster Hunter DLE is a fan-made daily guessing game for the Monster Hunter series. In Classic you name any monster and compare its element, ailments, weaknesses, class, size, threat level and first appearance with the hidden one; three more modes give a description, a picture or a roar.
About Monster Hunter DLE
Monster Hunter DLE frames its puzzles as work for the Hunters' commission. In Classic mode you name a monster and the game compares it with the monster of the day across columns: element, ailment, weaknesses, class, maximum and minimum size, threat level, first appearance and generation. Each column is marked correct, partly correct or wrong, with higher or lower arrows for numbers, so each guess narrows the list.
The other three modes each have their own daily monster. Compendium shows a written description for you to match to the right monster. Surveyor shows a picture that gets sharper and brighter with every attempt. Roar plays the monster's call and asks you to name it by ear.
All players get the same monsters each day, and a countdown shows the time to the next entry. Each mode also has an infinite version for practice. The site runs in English and French, and it links to Zeldle, a Zelda game in the same style.
It suits hunters who know the monster field guide across generations, not just the latest game.
How to play Monster Hunter DLE
- Open Monster Hunter DLE and start Classic mode.
- Type a monster's name to see your first clues.
- Compare each column with the monster of the day: correct, partly correct or wrong, with higher or lower for sizes and threat level.
- Keep guessing until you find it.
- Play Compendium, Surveyor and Roar, each with its own monster of the day.
Tips
- Open with a monster from a middle generation so the first appearance column can point either way.
- Use weaknesses and element together; they narrow the field faster than class.
- In Roar mode, listen for whether the call sounds like a flying wyvern, a fanged beast or an elder dragon.
