About Balatrodle

Balatrodle is a fan-made guessing game for players of the poker roguelike Balatro, running since June 2024. It works like Wordle crossed with the classic dle format: there is one hidden joker a day, and every guess tells you how close you are.

Each guess shows four clues. Cost is a dollar value with an arrow when the answer is cheaper or more expensive. Rarity is common, uncommon, rare or legendary. Ability sorts the joker by what it does: adds Mult, multiplies Mult, adds Chips, creates cards, retriggers or copies, earns money, changes hands and discards, or something else. Scaling says whether the joker grows stronger over a run. When a guess matches today's joker on every clue but is the wrong joker, part of the answer's name is revealed, and more matches reveal more of it.

The joker changes at midnight on your own clock. Your streak and average number of guesses are kept in the browser, and the result screen counts down to the next puzzle. It is free with no ads, and suits Balatro players who know their jokers' prices and effects.

How to play Balatrodle

1. Type a joker name in the box and submit it as your first guess.
2. Read the four clues: cost with a higher or lower arrow, rarity, ability type and scaling.
3. Pick a next joker that keeps the matching clues and changes the wrong ones.
4. Use the name hint that appears when a guess matches every clue but is not the answer.
5. Find the joker, check your streak and come back after midnight for the next one.

Tips

• Rarity and ability type split the joker list the most, so start with a common joker whose effect is easy to classify.
• Follow the cost arrow: each guess narrows the price range you still have to check.
• A guess that matches every clue unlocks name letters, so aim for full matches once you are close.
• Check the scaling clue early; it splits jokers that grow over a run from those that do not.
