Name the day's Soulslike boss from its game, type, story role, location and souls.

Every day: One hidden Soulslike boss a day, the same for every player, picked from Demon's Souls, Dark Souls 1 to 3, Bloodborne and a set of Elden Ring bosses; a countdown runs to the next one and global stats show how many guesses players needed that day. New puzzle: Midnight, local time.

Souldle is a daily guessing game about the bosses of FromSoftware's Soulslike games. Each day one boss is hidden; you type the name of any boss and the board compares it with the answer on its game, boss type, story role, location and the souls it gives, until you find the day's boss.

About Souldle

Souldle is a fan-made -dle for players of Demon's Souls, Dark Souls 1, 2 and 3, Bloodborne and Elden Ring. Every day it hides one boss from that list, the same for everyone who plays that day, and you track it down by guessing other bosses.

Each guess fills a row under five columns: the game the boss comes from, its boss type (giant, beast, humanoid, dragon and so on), its story role (a main boss, an optional one, or one from a DLC), where you fight it, and its value in souls. A column turns green for an exact match, orange for a partial one, such as a location that shares a word with the answer, and dark red when nothing matches. For the souls value the game shows whether the answer is higher or lower than your guess.

There is no fixed number of tries. Your streak, win rate and average guesses are kept in your browser, and a statistics panel shows how players everywhere did on the day's boss. When you are done you can copy a grid of coloured squares and arrows to share without giving the answer away.

Beside the daily boss, Endless mode gives you as many random bosses as you like, and Challenge a friend lets you set a boss for someone else. The Elden Ring roster covers only part of that game's bosses, and a linked list of every boss in the game helps when a name escapes you.

It suits players who know their way around Lordran, Yharnam and Boletaria and want a short daily test of that knowledge.

How to play Souldle

  1. Open souldle.com; the Daily Mode is the one that loads.
  2. Type the name of any boss from the supported games and press Submit Guess.
  3. Read the row: green is an exact match on that column, orange a partial match and dark red no match.
  4. Use the arrow on the souls value to tell whether the day's boss gives more or fewer souls than your guess.
  5. Keep guessing until you name the boss, then share your grid or try Endless mode.

Tips

  • Start with a boss from a game you are unsure of: the Game column rules out a whole title at once.
  • The souls value is the sharpest clue late on, since bosses in the same area often give very different amounts.
  • A partial match on Location means the names share a word, so think of places with that word in their name.
  • Open the boss list linked under the board if a name will not come to mind.
