Overwatchdle is a daily guessing game about Overwatch heroes. Its Classic mode compares each hero you guess with the secret one on gender, role, species, origin, affiliation, health and release year, and four more modes work from a quote, an ability icon, emoji and a pixelated portrait.

About Overwatchdle

Overwatchdle brings the -dle format to the Overwatch roster. In Classic mode you pick any hero and the game flips seven tiles: gender, role, species, origin, affiliation, health and the year the hero was added to the game. Green tiles match the answer and red ones do not, while health and year show an arrow pointing to a higher or lower value.

The other daily modes change the clue. Quote mode shows a line spoken by the hero, Ability mode shows the icon of one of their abilities, Emoji mode gives a row of emoji that hint at the hero, and Pixel mode starts from a heavily pixelated portrait. Each mode has its own hero for the day.

The site keeps statistics such as games won, average tries, one-shot wins and current and best streak. It is a fan project, not endorsed by Blizzard, free in the browser with ads, and part of a group of -dle sites that also covers Valorant, Marvel Rivals, Fortnite and more.

How to play Overwatchdle

  1. Open Classic mode and type the name of any Overwatch hero.
  2. Read the seven tiles: green means the attribute matches, red means it does not, and arrows on health and year point higher or lower.
  3. Use the feedback to choose your next hero and keep going until you find the answer.
  4. Try the Quote, Ability, Emoji and Pixel modes for the rest of the day's puzzles.
  5. Return the next day for new heroes.

Tips

  • Start with a hero whose role and species are common to cut the list quickly.
  • Use the year arrow early: it splits launch heroes from later additions.
  • In Ability mode, think about which role usually has that kind of skill.
  • Affiliation is often the deciding tile once gender and role are fixed.
