Owdle

Guess the day's Overwatch hero by traits, and name the heroes in a voice line conversation.

Every day: Two Overwatch challenges each day: a hero to find by species, role, continent, affiliations and weapon type, and an in-game conversation whose speakers you name. New puzzle: Once a day; the site does not state the time.

Owdle is a daily Overwatch guessing game with two challenges. In Guess the Hero each guess is compared with the answer on species, role, continent, affiliations and weapon type; in Guess the Conversation you hear an in-game exchange between heroes and work out who is speaking.

About Owdle

Owdle, part of the guessing.day sites, is a daily game about Overwatch heroes and their background. Its first mode, Guess the Hero, works like other -dle games: you type a hero and each attribute tile turns green when it matches the answer, yellow when it shares something and red when it is wrong. The columns cover species, role, the continent the hero comes from and all of their historical affiliations, including ones they have since left.

The second mode, Guess the Conversation, uses the short voice line interactions heroes have with each other in matches. The names of the speakers are hidden; you can play the audio, read the lines, and guess which hero says each part, with a Yes, Maybe or No rating for each guess. Hints that reveal one of a hidden hero's properties become available as you go.

A countdown shows when the challenges change. The patch notes are detailed, explaining data choices such as how affiliations and continents are assigned. The site is free, has English and Brazilian Portuguese for both the interface and the game data, and is not affiliated with Blizzard.

How to play Owdle

  1. Pick Guess the Hero or Guess the Conversation from the home page.
  2. In Guess the Hero, type any hero and read the tiles: green is correct, yellow has something in common, red is wrong.
  3. In Guess the Conversation, play the audio and read the lines, then guess which hero speaks each one.
  4. Use hints if you are stuck, or give up to see the answer.
  5. Come back when the countdown ends for new challenges.

Tips

  • Affiliations include past ones, so a yellow tile can point to a hero who has left a group.
  • Continent uses a six-continent model, so think in broad regions rather than countries.
  • In the conversation mode, the topic of the exchange often names a place or event tied to one hero.
  • Play the audio: voices are often easier to recognise than the words.
