About Owldle

Owldle takes the Wordle-style guessing format to Overwatch esports. Instead of a hero, the answer each day is a professional player. You search for a player by name, and the game shows clues comparing your guess with the hidden pro: the team they play for, their role (tank, damage or support) and their nationality. Each guess narrows the field until you find the player.

The site has two daily modes. OWL covers the Overwatch League, and OWCS covers the Overwatch Champions Series, which the site tracks by season (Season 3 at the time of writing). An Endless mode lets you keep guessing without the daily limit, and a History page and statistics keep track of past days.

Owldle is a fan project made by scorer5, with links to its Discord and Twitter and a feedback form on the site.

How to play Owldle

1. Open owldle.com and choose OWL or OWCS.
2. Type the name of a pro player and pick them from the list.
3. Compare the clues: team, role and nationality show whether your guess matches the hidden player.
4. Use what matched to narrow the field and guess again until you find the day's pro.
5. Check your statistics or try Endless mode for more rounds.

Tips

• Start with a well-known player from a big team to test team and region at once.
• Role cuts the field to a third, so pick a guess whose role you are unsure about.
• Nationality is often the quickest way to narrow a team down to two or three players.
