On Location #9 for 2026-10-06: a sketched 360-degree view under an elevated railway with three Reveal Detail cards below

On Location drops you into a real place where a film was shot, drawn as a pencil-sketch 360-degree view you can turn around in. You have five guesses to name the movie, and Reveal Detail cards trade a guess for an extra clue. It is one of Smashcut Games' free daily film games.

About On Location

On Location works like a street-view game for film fans. Each day's puzzle is a real filming location, shown as a 360-degree panorama in a sketched style, and you drag to look around: an elevated railway over a street corner, a row of shopfronts, a house on the edge of town.

The question is which film used it. You have five guesses, and each miss costs one. Below the view sit Reveal Detail cards that show more about the scene, each also paid for with a guess, though never your last one.

Scoring rewards both accuracy and speed: naming the film earns 1,000 points plus 1,000 for every guess you still have, with a bonus for being quick. Puzzles are numbered and dated, and a countdown shows when the next one arrives.

Smashcut Games runs several daily film games side by side, including Typecast (three actors, fifteen guesses), Headshots (name a film from five faces) and Underscore (name the film from its score).

Tips

  • Turn all the way around before guessing: the giveaway is often behind you.
  • Signs, transit lines and architecture can place the city, which narrows the films a lot.
