Movie Globe
Find where the day's film is set, from its clues.
Every day: A new dated set of clues each day, the same for every player: each clue points to a place from a film, and you pin it on a globe for up to 100 points, out of 500 for the day. New puzzle: Midnight Eastern Time.

Movie Globe gives you clues about places in films and asks you to drop a pin on a globe where each one is. The closer your pin, the more points you score, up to 500 a day. A new set arrives at midnight Eastern Time, with past days in an archive.
About Movie Globe
Movie Globe is a daily map game for film fans. Instead of naming a film, you work out where a film takes place: each clue describes a location from a movie, and you place a pin on a 3D globe where you think it is.
It is made by Sam Shulman and Alex Nunan, the pair behind Movie Grid, Movie Snake, Movie Pyramid and Movie Reveal, and it sits in the same family of daily movie games on their sites.
A day has five clues. Each guess is scored up to 100 points by how far your pin lands from the right place, so a total runs out of 500. If you cannot tell which film a clue is about, a hint reveals the title at a cost of 10 points. A hard mode is there for players who want less help from the map. At the end you see your total, how you rank against the day's players, and a row of coloured squares to share.
Most daily film games ask for a title: Framed shows stills, Movie Grid asks for films that fit two clues. Movie Globe asks for a place instead, which makes it closer to WhenTaken Movies or to map games such as TimeGuessr. It suits people who remember where films are set and like a bit of geography with their trivia.
How to play Movie Globe
- Open movieglobe.io to load the day's puzzle.
- Read the clue and work out which film and which place it points to.
- Drag or tap the globe to drop your pin, then confirm the guess.
- See how far off you were and how many of the 100 points you scored, then move to the next clue.
- Use the hint if you are stuck: it shows the film's title but costs 10 points.
- After the last clue, check your total out of 500 and share the result.
Tips
- Zoom in before you confirm: a pin close to the right city scores far more than one in the right country.
- Think about where the story is set, not where the film was shot, unless the clue says otherwise.
- Save the hint for clues where you cannot place the film at all; 10 points is less than a wild guess usually loses.
- Missed days can be played from the archive.
