NumberGlyph puzzle for 2026-10-02 on Easy: a vault panel with the Σ 15 and shape clue cards, locked hint cards, an empty first attempt row and the quick tutorial

NumberGlyph is a daily number-guessing puzzle from the Glyphverse collection. Each day's dated puzzle hides a 4, 5 or 6 digit number; you guess it in six tries with Wordle-style tile feedback, starting from two free clues, the sum of the digits and the shape of how they rise and fall.

About NumberGlyph

NumberGlyph is styled as a vault to open. The hidden number has four digits on Easy, five on Medium and six on Hard. Before your first guess you already know two things: the sum of its digits (Σ) and its shape, a row of up and down arrows showing whether each digit is higher or lower than the one before. Each guess then colours its tiles: green for the right digit in the right place, yellow for a right digit in the wrong place, dark for a digit not in the number.

If you want more help, you can tap extra fingerprint cards to reveal further clues, such as which positions hold odd or even digits, how many digits are prime, how many are unique, or the sum of the squares. These hints never change the answer. You have six attempts to open the vault.

Puzzles are dated, shared by all players and change at midnight UTC, and an archive holds past days. NumberGlyph is the flagship of the Glyphverse, a set of twenty-odd puzzle and skill games by a developer named Sean, including OpGlyph, SudokuGlyph and ConnectGlyph. It suits fans of Mastermind and Nerdle who enjoy a bit of arithmetic deduction.

How to play NumberGlyph

  1. Choose Easy, Medium or Hard for today's puzzle.
  2. Read the free clues: the digit sum (Σ) and the shape arrows showing whether each digit goes up or down.
  3. Enter a guess and read the tiles: green right place, yellow wrong place, dark not in the number.
  4. Tap extra clue cards if you need them, and find the number within six tries.

Tips

  • Use the shape arrows to rule out whole ranges of digits before you guess.
  • Check every guess against the digit sum; it removes many candidates at once.
  • Reveal the odd/even card early on Hard, where six digits leave many possibilities.
  • Play older dates from the archive to practise.
