D3C1PH3R
Crack the day's secret number code from green, yellow and gray feedback.
Every day: One hidden number code a day, the same for everyone, that grows through the week: 3 digits with 8 guesses on Monday and Tuesday, 4 digits with 10 guesses midweek, 5 with 12 on Friday and Saturday, and 6 with 15 on Sunday; scores go on a daily leaderboard. New puzzle: Midnight local time.

D3C1PH3R is a daily code-breaking game from Lost Art Games in the spirit of Mastermind. You guess a hidden sequence of digits, and each guess tells you which digits are right and in place, right but misplaced, or not in the code at all.
About D3C1PH3R
D3C1PH3R hides a number code and gives you a limited number of tries to find it. Type a sequence and submit it: a green digit is correct and in the right place, yellow is in the code but in the wrong place, and gray is not in the code. From that feedback you narrow the possibilities until only the answer is left.
The code is the same for everyone each day and grows through the week. Monday and Tuesday are 3 digits with 8 guesses, Wednesday and Thursday 4 digits with 10, Friday and Saturday 5 digits with 12, and Sunday 6 digits with 15. Your score starts higher for longer codes, and every guess you save and every second left on the clock adds to it. There is no give up button, so you play until you crack it or run out of guesses, and the result goes on the daily leaderboard.
It is one of six dailies from Lost Art Games, with Letterbox, Scuotes, alikely, fanimoji and 29GO. It suits players who enjoy pure deduction with numbers rather than words.
How to play D3C1PH3R
- Open the day's D3C1PH3R and note the code length for the day.
- Enter a sequence of digits as your first guess and press Enter.
- Read the feedback: green is right and in place, yellow is in the code elsewhere, gray is not in the code.
- Use what you learn to make each next guess, ruling out digits and positions.
- Crack the code within the guess limit; fewer guesses and a faster time score more.
Tips
- Open with guesses that test many different digits, to learn which are in the code quickly.
