Noriento
Point your phone at true north once a day and see how many degrees you missed by.
Every day: One attempt a day: point your phone at true north and see how many degrees off you were. The other games rotate daily for everyone: Cardinals asks for one direction a day, Planets names a new planet each day, and one of the four premium games is free to all each day. New puzzle: Once a day (the site does not state the hour).

Noriento is a ten-second daily game for your sense of direction. You face where you think true north is, tap to lock, and get your error in degrees, such as 12 degrees east of north. North and a daily Cardinals direction are free; an optional plan of 1 dollar a month opens four more pointing games.
About Noriento
Noriento turns finding north into a daily habit. There is no map and no hint: you hold your phone flat, turn your whole body until you think you face true north, and tap the dial to lock. The game then tells you how far off you were and on which side, and the idea is that this number shrinks over weeks of practice. You get one guess a day.
Every game on the site has the same shape: aim at something you cannot see and get scored in degrees. North and Cardinals (east, south or west, one per day) are free with no account. Places asks which way a far city such as Tokyo lies from where you stand, Moon asks you to point at the moon with your eyes closed, Sun asks you to find the sun at night through the earth, and Planets picks Venus, Jupiter, Saturn or Mars, a new one each day. Those four come with an optional founder plan of 1 dollar a month, and one of them is free to everyone each day on rotation.
Noriento needs a phone with a compass: Safari on iOS 13 or newer, or Chrome on Android, and it can be added to the home screen. It is also on Google Play. Desktop browsers have no compass, so the site shows a QR code to move you to your phone. Your streak lives on the device, and a free account can sync it.
It suits players who want a daily game that takes seconds and trains a real-world skill rather than words or trivia.

Tips
- Use the sun's position and the time of day before you turn; it gets you close without a compass.
- Do not trust the street grid; many people line up with the nearest road instead of north.
- Play from the same spot for a week to see how much your error really changes.
