NEON SURGE, wave 4: a small ship firing at green hexagonal enemies around a red core inside a pale circular arena, with score popups and a boss health bar

NEON SURGE is a fast single-player arena shooter: you aim and move, your ship fires on its own, and between ever-harder waves you pick one of three upgrades. Of its seven modes, the Daily Challenge gives everyone the same seed and a daily leaderboard.

About NEON SURGE

NEON SURGE, by Miber Studio, is a twin-stick arena shooter that puts everything on movement. Your ship fires automatically; you aim, weave and dash through bullets with brief invulnerability, holding off waves that keep growing, and between waves you choose one of three roguelite upgrades so every run becomes a different build.

Everything on screen is drawn in code, a glowing vector look with particles, screen shake and combo multipliers. Eight ships each have their own stats, sound and ultimate, and ten worlds re-skin the arena, from Vaporwave to Blueprint. Seven modes include endless Arcade, a three-minute Crunch, Survival, Chase, Defense, Boss Rush and the Daily Challenge, which uses the same seed for everyone that day and keeps its own leaderboard.

It runs on Windows through Steam.

It suits players who like Geometry Wars-style arena shooters and a short daily score attack.

How to play NEON SURGE

  1. Launch NEON SURGE on Steam and choose Daily Challenge.

Tips
