Kludoku
Place every suspect on the floor plan from their testimony, then name who was alone with the victim.
Every day: A set of shared murder-mystery cases every day, from Beginner to Expert, the same for every player in the world, each also offered as a time attack against the clock. New puzzle: Midnight UTC.

Kludoku is a daily murder-mystery placement puzzle. Each case gives you a floor plan, a cast of suspects and their statements; you work out where everyone stood, find the person who was alone with the victim and make your accusation. New shared cases arrive every day at midnight UTC, from Beginner to Expert.
About Kludoku
Kludoku is a browser logic puzzle by onnie81, released under the OnnieHEX name, that mixes sudoku-style placement with the murder-mystery logic books. Every case is a crime scene drawn as a grid of rooms, with furniture and objects such as a telescope, a sofa or a floor lamp. Each suspect gives testimony: they were in the same column as the lamp, exactly four rows south of the chauffeur, alone in a room. Every statement narrows down where that person stood.
You place each suspect on the board until every testimony holds, then work out who was alone with the victim and accuse them. Harder cases add twists. In accomplice cases one testimony is entirely false, so you mark the liar and their statements invert. In motive cases it is not enough to know who; you also have to prove why. Some scenes are not rectangular and some hide a treasure.
The daily cases are the same for everyone in the world. The site lists five levels, Beginner, Easy, Medium, Hard and Expert, on grids that grow from about 5x5 to 10x8, and each daily board can also be played as a time attack. A case counter shows how many detectives solved it, a calendar archive holds past days, and with an account you get leaderboards, friends, detective ranks and weekly story arcs. Notes, pencil marks, what-if branches and hints help on the hard ones.
The daily cases are free. Extra cases can be unlocked by watching a short ad or with points, and the game plays in 11 languages. It suits people who enjoy Murdle-style mysteries, nonograms or Einstein puzzles and want one shared case to compare with friends.
How to play Kludoku

- Place each suspect on a cell of the floor plan so that all their statements are true.
- On accomplice cases mark the liar, whose statements then flip; on motive cases work out why as well.
- Find the suspect who was alone with the victim and make your accusation, or replay the board in time attack.

Tips
- Start with the most exact clues, such as a fixed number of rows from a person or the same row as an object; they leave very few cells.
- Use Mark X to rule out cells as you go; on the larger grids it keeps the board readable.
- Tap a testimony to see it highlighted on the board, and cross it off once it is satisfied.
- When two placements both seem possible, try one in a what-if branch instead of guessing on the main board.
