Daily Investigation
Two shared detective cases a day: spot the suspect, then sort truth from lies.
Every day: Two detective cases a day, the same for every player: Daily Suspect (narrow down a suspect by traits) and Daily Crosscheck (find seven liars, then the killer among them). New puzzle: Midnight UTC (03:00 Istanbul time).

Daily Investigation is a free browser deduction game on itch.io with two cases a day. In Daily Suspect you narrow a board of portraits by their traits; in Daily Crosscheck you read character clues, find the seven liars and pick the killer from among them.
About Daily Investigation
Daily Investigation is a small detective game by the itch.io developer erkamaj, released in April 2026. It plays in the browser and offers two different styles of deduction each day.
Daily Suspect gives you a board of portraits. You inspect them, scan their traits and read yes or no results to cross people off by hand until you are ready to accuse one. Daily Crosscheck is a grid of characters, each making a statement about the others. You mark which statements are true and which are lies, identify all seven liars (every row and column holds at least one), and then work out which liar is the killer.
Every player gets the same two cases on the same day, generated from the date, and they change at midnight UTC. A case calendar lets you go back to earlier days. Sessions are short, and the developer runs a subreddit for updates and discussion.
It suits fans of logic grids and liar puzzles who want something quick with a bit of mystery.
How to play Daily Investigation
- Open the game on itch.io and pick Daily Suspect or Daily Crosscheck.
- In Daily Suspect, check portraits and traits, rule people out, then accuse the suspect.
- In Daily Crosscheck, read each character's clue and mark it true or a lie.
- Find all seven liars, then choose the killer among them; return tomorrow for new cases.

Tips
- In Crosscheck, every row and column has at least one liar: use that to test a guess.
- A statement that calls someone a liar links two people, so follow those chains.
- Use the case calendar to practise on earlier days.
