Suspectle

The Suspectle title card in gold: Solve the mystery. One deduction at a time.

Suspectle is a free daily murder-mystery logic puzzle. Each day's case puts a handful of suspects on a small floor-plan grid; you place each one in its row and column using the clues, and the suspect left alone with the victim is the killer. It solves by deduction alone, with no guessing.

About Suspectle

Suspectle presents one case file a day. On 2 October 2026 it was The Cart That Did Not Leave: five suspects at the Lantern Market, a 6 by 6 floor plan, six clues and a difficulty of 2 out of 4. One of the suspects was alone with the victim, Rin, and the clues are enough to show which.

You drag each suspect onto the floor plan. Every row and column can hold only one person, and the clues tell you things like who stood beside what or which room someone was in. Working through them places everyone, and the person who ends up alone with the victim is the murderer. Every case can be solved without guessing.

Beyond the daily case there are 54 floor-plan cases to work through, and other modes: Break the Story, where you take apart a five-part statement; Sort the Evidence, where sixteen pieces are grouped by who they implicate; and Piece the Scene, rebuilt from row and column counts. It is free with no sign-in, and past daily cases sit in an archive.

It suits fans of logic grids and whodunits who like a short case with a clean, provable answer.

How to play Suspectle

  1. Open today's case and read the suspects, the floor plan and the clues.
  2. Place each suspect on the grid, one per row and one per column.
  3. Use each clue to rule positions in or out.
  4. Keep going until every suspect has exactly one possible square.
  5. Name the suspect left alone with the victim.

Tips

  • Start with clues that pin someone to a single room; they unlock the rest.
  • Mark squares that are ruled out so the remaining options stand out.
  • Check the difficulty on the case file and leave the 4s for a quiet moment.
