GeoGraph Day 121 solved: guesses from Mali to South Africa on the map, ending with Eswatini as the Mystery Country

GeoGraph is a daily geography game: type a country and it tells you how many land borders separate it from the day's Mystery Country, and it shades your guesses on a world map. Keep moving closer until you hit zero. There is also a Weekly Challenge with 8 guesses and no hints, and a practice mode.

About GeoGraph

GeoGraph is a browser geography game by BenceBurcsi, played at geograph.pro and also published on itch.io in September 2026. Each day's Daily Challenge, numbered by day, hides one Mystery Country.

You guess a country and the game answers with a number: how many land borders you would have to cross to get from your guess to the answer. Your guesses are drawn on a world map and listed with their counts, so you can work your way in, from Italy at 11 to the Democratic Republic of the Congo at 3, South Africa at 1 and the answer at 0. If your guess has no land route to the Mystery Country, the game says NO CONNECTION.

Because the answer must be reachable over land, island countries and those in separated pairs, such as the United Kingdom, are never the Mystery Country. The game points out land borders many people miss, such as France with Brazil and Suriname through French Guiana, and Spain with Morocco. Show Borders and Show Initial hints help when you are stuck.

Besides the daily there is a Weekly Challenge with only 8 guesses and no hints, and a Practice mode. Statistics track games played, win rate, streaks and average guesses. It suits players of Globle and Travle who know their map and want to think in border crossings.

How to play GeoGraph

  1. Open the Daily Challenge and type the name of any country.
  2. Read the number beside your guess: how many land borders separate it from the Mystery Country.
  3. Guess countries with smaller numbers to move closer; NO CONNECTION means there is no land route.
  4. Use Show Borders or Show Initial as hints if you are stuck.
  5. Reach zero to find the Mystery Country, then share your result.

Tips

  • Start with a large, central country with many neighbours to get a useful first number.
  • Remember the Mystery Country is never an island nation, so skip those.
  • Keep overseas territories in mind: France borders Brazil and Suriname through French Guiana.

Questions

How does GeoGraph give clues?

Each guess shows how many land borders separate it from the Mystery Country, and NO CONNECTION if there is no land route.

Can the answer be an island country?

No. Countries without land neighbours and separated pairs such as the United Kingdom cannot be the Mystery Country.

Are there other modes?

Yes. A Weekly Challenge with 8 guesses and no hints, and a Practice mode.
