BorderRush guide on Zalize Daily Games

BorderRush #94 on Zalize for October 3: a route from Sierra Leone to Luxembourg six countries apart, over a map of Europe and Africa

BorderRush is the daily geography game on Zalize Daily Games. You get a start country and a destination and type bordering countries one at a time to link them. Colours tell you whether you are on a shortest route, and the result compares your path with the best one.

About BorderRush (Zalize)

BorderRush is a route puzzle on the world map. Each day every player gets the same pair of countries, a start and a destination. You build a chain between them by typing countries that share a land border with the route so far.

Each guess is coloured: green means the country lies on a shortest path, yellow means it is a longer detour, and red means it does not border your route. Only land borders count; bridges, tunnels and ferry links do not. Up to two reveals let you peek at a country's neighbours when you are stuck.

When you reach the destination the game compares your route with the shortest one, and you can share it as an emoji trail that does not give the answer away. The format is close to Travle.

Tips

  • Picture the map before typing and count the countries on the most direct line.
