Geodle (Geotrivia)

Find the day's mystery country by comparing six facts about each guess.

Every day: One numbered mystery country a day for everyone (No. 260 on 3 October 2026), found by guessing countries and comparing continent, landlocked status, neighbours, average temperature, population and land area. New puzzle: Once a day (the site does not state the time).

Geodle #28 in the Geotrivia app: guesses Equatorial Guinea, Ghana and United States, each with green, red and arrow tiles for continent, landlocked, neighbour, temperature, population and land area

Geotrivia's Geodle hides one country each day. Every country you guess shows six tiles comparing it with the answer: continent, landlocked or not, whether it is a neighbour, and arrows for average temperature, population and land area. Use them to close in on the country.

About Geodle (Geotrivia)

Geotrivia's Geodle (not the separate geodle.me) is a country deduction game. On 3 October 2026 it was puzzle No. 260. Type any country and it appears as a card with six tiles: green for a match on continent, landlocked status or neighbour, and arrows telling you whether the mystery country is warmer or colder, more or less populous, and larger or smaller.

The guess count is shown and you can give up if stuck. A good first guess is a mid-sized country, since the arrows then cut the world in two on several axes at once.

It is one of five numbered daily games on Geotrivia, with GeoRankle, GeoDecide, GeoConnections and GeoPaint, on the web and in the Geotrivia app. They are free with ads, and Pro adds the archive.

It suits players of Countryle and Worldle who prefer reasoning from statistics to recognising shapes.

How to play Geodle (Geotrivia)

  1. Type a country name to make your first guess.
  2. Read its six tiles: continent, landlocked, neighbour, temperature, population and land area.
  3. Follow the arrows: warmer or colder, more or fewer people, larger or smaller.
  4. Guess again, narrowing down until every tile is green.
  5. Find the country in as few guesses as you can.

Tips

  • Open with a mid-sized, mid-population country to split the world on several tiles at once.
  • The neighbour tile is powerful: a green one puts you right next door.
  • Use continent first, then refine by population and area.
  • Remember temperature is the yearly average, so coasts and highlands matter.
