Dialed Sound
Hear five tones, then slide to recreate each pitch from memory.
Every day: A daily Sound challenge: everyone hears the same five tones that day and gets one attempt to recreate each pitch on a frequency slider, scored out of 50 on a daily leaderboard. New puzzle: Midnight US Eastern time (the game keys its daily to the America/New_York date).

Dialed Sound is a pitch memory game from the Dialed suite of browser games. It plays five tones one at a time, and you rebuild each one with a frequency slider, scoring up to 10 points per tone. The daily challenge gives everyone the same five tones with one attempt and a daily leaderboard.
About Dialed Sound
Dialed is a set of short memory games in the browser: Color, Sound, Time, Shape, Pattern and Tempo among them. Sound is the one for your ears. The game starts from a simple claim, that people are not good at recalling pitches, and lets you find out how good or bad you are.
A round plays five tones, one after another. Then, for each tone, you move a frequency slider until what you hear matches what you remember. Each tone is scored up to 10 points by how close your pitch is, for a maximum of 50. The result screen is blunt about low scores, which is part of the fun.
The daily challenge is the shared version: the same five tones for everyone that day, one attempt, and a score you can share and compare on the daily leaderboard. Outside the daily you can play solo on Easy or Hard, send a challenge link so friends get the same tones, or host a live round with a shared timer.
There is no signup or download. It works in any browser with sound, and headphones help, since small differences in pitch are easier to hear without background noise.
How to play Dialed Sound
- Open Dialed Sound and choose the Daily challenge.
- Listen to the five tones as they play one at a time.
- For each tone, move the frequency slider until it sounds like the pitch you remember, then confirm.
- See your score out of 50, share it and compare it on the daily leaderboard.
Tips
- Use headphones in a quiet room: small pitch differences are hard to hear over noise.
- Hum each tone quietly as it plays, so you have something to compare against when you slide.
- Make broad moves first to find the right range, then fine adjustments.
- Play a few solo rounds on Easy before the daily to warm up your ear, since the daily allows one attempt.
