Blipsong
Rate itName the day's song from a tenth of a second of sound, with six listens that grow longer.
Every day: One song a day, the same for everyone on the same UTC date. You start from 0.1 seconds of its preview and each miss or skip unlocks a longer clip, up to six listens. New puzzle: Midnight UTC (00:00 UTC).

Blipsong is a free browser song quiz. Each day everyone gets the same track and hears just 0.1 seconds of it first; every wrong guess or skip opens a longer clip of 0.5, 1, 2, 5 and then 10 seconds. Type the title within six listens to keep your streak going.
About Blipsong
Blipsong asks one question: how little of a song do you need to know it? The daily round opens on a 0.1-second fragment, often no more than a drum hit or part of a sung vowel, and you type the title if you can. A wrong guess or a skip unlocks the next clip, at 0.5, 1, 2, 5 and 10 seconds, all starting from the same point in the track's preview, so each listen builds on the last. After the sixth miss the song is revealed.
The daily song is the same for everyone on the same UTC date and changes at 00:00 UTC. You can replay the current clip as often as you like without spending a chance, and a preview that fails to load costs nothing. Only the title counts, not the artist: case, accents and punctuation are ignored, as are labels such as remaster, live or feat. in trailing brackets, and a short list of familiar alternate titles is accepted.
The songs come from previews in the Apple iTunes catalogue and lean toward pop and rock favourites. At the end of a round you get links to the track on Apple Music and a Spotify search, and a share card that shows your score without giving the song away. Unlimited mode lets you play more songs straight after the daily without touching your streak.
There is no account, no app to install and no leaderboard; your streak is kept in your browser. The site calls itself an independent, early-stage listening experiment. It suits players who like Heardle-style games but want a much shorter first clip, and anyone who enjoys a quick music break.

Tips
- Use headphones: at 0.1 seconds a voice or a single instrument hit is all you get, and detail helps.
- The clip may start in a chorus or a verse rather than at the song's opening, so do not wait for an intro.
- Enter the title only; the artist's name on its own is not accepted.
- On a phone or with Bluetooth audio the shortest clip can sound longer or shorter; the Playback check panel shows what your browser played.
Questions
When does Blipsong's daily song change?
At 00:00 UTC. Everyone playing on the same UTC date gets the same song, which may fall in the afternoon or evening in the Americas.
Do I need an account or an app?
No. Blipsong plays in a phone or desktop browser with no sign-up. Your streak is saved in that browser, so clearing site data or changing browsers starts it over.
Can I play more than one song a day?
Yes. Unlimited mode serves another song right away and does not affect your daily streak.
